Boleyn Bricks
Jonjo Heuerman is looking to find homes for the final bricks he rescued from the Boleyn Ground.
"I managed to salvage around 1000 commemorative bricks from Upton Park and have reunited around 750. I still have around 250 and I refuse to throw them away.
Many of the original owners probably don’t even know these precious keepsakes were saved and I’m running out of ideas to try and trace people.
West Ham has helped by writing to everyone on their records and I’ve tried National press and TV too, all have helped but I still have more bricks to hand back to fans.
It’s been a labour of love for the past 7 years and some of the stories about the bricks have been amazing and very moving, this is why I can’t throw them away, they mean a lot to people.
I don’t ask ask for money but most of the fans have made a donation to The Bobby Moore Fund raising just under £9,000 for the charity. These bricks have literally been travelling the world back to the original owners."
Me and my team have tried really hard to reunite these bricks with their original owners. I cannot throw these away. They are part of our history, our former home and many are in someone’s memory.
Hammers fans please share this list of commemorative bricks saved from the demolition of Upton Park. The owners probably don’t even know these precious keepsakes were saved.”
