Questions for the FSA

The WHUST board has sent the following questions to Ashley Brown at the FSA. However, if you have additional questions you would like us to put to him before the meeting, please let us have them by email to info@whust.org. There will still be opportunities to ask questions on the night.

1.  When do you think the Independent Regulator for English Football (IREF) will go live?
                     - timetable for legislation?
                     - would an election stop progress?

2.  What do you see as the main benefits for fans from IREF?
                     - when and how will they see these improvements?

3.  What is the FSA doing to progress and promote IREF?
                     - what are key risks?
                     - what are the main issues FSA are still fighting for?
                     - how can trusts help?

4.  Can you tell us about ideas for a Shadow Regulator
                     - how is the FSA involved?
                     - how can trust’s get involved?
                     - any insight into when a Shadow Regulator might be stood-up?

5. What is FSA’s sense of views about IREF
                     - of Premier League?
                     - of individual Premier League Clubs?

6. Our club is particularly unengaging.  Currently there is very little WHUST can do about this. Any views on what should be "red lines” for engagement?  Any views on how IREF will make a difference?  How might differences of opinion be escalated and resolved
                     - via FSA?
                     - via IREF?
